Mahashivratri has many legends related to it..

One of the most famous is about shiv and parvati marriage... on this auspicious night shiv and parvati got married... so in our language we can call them their wedding anniversary....

Some people belive that on this auspicious night shiva had performed Tandav the danve of primal creation, preservation and distruction.....

Another legends says that it was on the day of shivratri that lord shiva manifested himself into the LINGA.....

Whatever may be the reason i just know ont thig that on shivratri there is always a big satsang by some great personality.... and this yr tht great personality is Vikram Hazra..... Around 10,000 are expected for the satsang in the evening.... at dahisar.... do join in.. if u can't come due to some reason then do watch sanskar channel frm 5.9 in the evening..
